Abstract Submission
In conjunction with the Postgraduate Studies 02 Symposium
theme, papers of relevant topics within the symposium theme are invited for
oral/paper presentations. Authors are requested to submit an Abstract not more
than 250 words in English. The Abstract must be prepared on an A4-sized paper with 25 mm margins on
all sides, and typed with single spacing using Times New Roman font size 12.
The file should be saved in Microsoft Word format.
The Abstract must include the following items:
- Title: A concise title that you would like to appear in the programme book and/or used for the proceedings.
- Keywords: Not more than 5 keywords.
- Authors and Presenters: Name/title of author(s). The presenter should be indicated with asterisk (*)
- Institution/Agency/Company: Name of Institution represented by author(s). The contact address of the presenter should be indicated.
Poster must be
prepared on size A1 paper (90 cm x 60 cm). Posters submitted will be eligible
for the “Best Poster Awards”.
All accepted abstracts and selected full papers will be published as proceeding book.

Step 1: Create a user account on the CMT3 paper
submission site https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/PSS2018 by clicking “Create Account”. Author may skip this step
if they already have a CMT3 account.
Step
2: Fill in the particular details required. Click
“Register”.
Step
3: Go to your email to verify your account.
Step
4: Clicking the link will be bring you to CMT3 log in
page. Please log in with the registered email and password. Click “Login”.
Step
5: In Author Console page, click “Create new
submission”.
Step
6: Fill in the title of your abstract. Your
particulars will be automatically generated. Should you have co-author, please
key in they email.
Step
7: Select ONE (1) primary subject areas and maximum
FOUR (4) secondary subject areas (maximum FOUR).
Step
8: Upload your abstract. Only doc and docx not more
than 10Mb will be accepted.
Step
9: Fill in additional questions.
Step
10: Click “Submit”. During
this time, some browser may give error message, but the submission will still
captured by our system. We will send you a confirmation email shortly.
POLICIES
Review Process: By submitting a paper to PSS2018,
the authors agree to the review process and understand that papers are
processed to match each manuscript to the best possible chairs and reviewers.
Confidentiality: The review process of PSS2018
is confidential. Reviewers are volunteers not part of the PSS2018 organisation and their efforts
are greatly appreciated. The standard practice of keeping all information
confidential during the review is part of the standard communication to all
reviewers. Misuse of confidential information is a severe professional failure
and appropriate measures will be taken when brought to the attention of PSS2018 organizers. It should be noted,
however, that the organisation of PSS2018
is not and cannot be held responsible for the consequences when reviewers
break confidentiality.
Double blind review: PSS2018 reviewing is double blind, in
that authors do not know the names of the area chair/reviewers of their papers,
and the area chairs/reviewers cannot, beyond reasonable doubt, infer the names
of the authors from the submission and the additional material. Avoid
providing information that may identify the authors. Avoid providing links to
websites that identify the authors. Violation of any of these guidelines may
lead to rejection without review.
